PRIVACY POLICY
Effective August 29, 2026 · Applies to the Zanshin app for iOS, published by Nervous Penguin Studios LLC ("we", "us").
Zanshin is a game, not a data business. We do not require an account, we do not collect your name, email, or contacts, and we do not sell personal data. Here is everything that actually happens:
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
Your progress — levels completed, scores, streaks, badges, settings, and suspended runs — is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers; we do not operate any servers.
GAME CENTER
If you are signed into Apple's Game Center, your scores are submitted to Apple's leaderboards under your Game Center identity, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We receive no personal information from this.
ADVERTISING
The free version of Zanshin shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising identifier), approximate location derived from IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from AdMob.
- In the EEA and UK, we ask for your consent before any ad is requested, using Google's consent framework. You can change your choice any time from the game's settings.
- We do not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — we do not ask to track you across other apps.
- Purchasing the supporter pack removes all advertising, and with it all AdMob data collection.
PURCHASES
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details. Your entitlement (ads removed, soundtrack unlocked) is stored on your device and restorable through your Apple ID.
CHILDREN
Zanshin does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is configured through Google's tools in accordance with applicable law.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
